I guess another month has passed since my last posting on this blog. Life now is awfully boring. It is now tat i can appreciate why ppl say studying is better than working. and especially for me, my job is almost like staring into blank space.. Sounds good? haha.. well, at first it seems good... but once u imagine urself staring into blank space for the next 20 months, it feels a bit creepy.

And whats more, I will have to celebrate christmas, new year, chinese new year etc away from the outside world. Wif all the Boredom-Killing Days gone, i guess i just have to hope for the one year to pass quickly. There are so many things that awaits me ... The feeling of hope is my cure to this boring life now...

This blog could well be dead ..maybe no one reads it .. but anyway, i have alot of sudden thoughts and i have the urge to pen down watever comes to my mind. Thinking back, i have always wanted to fast forward to university life- im sick of my present life. With all the routine and staring into the sky, its getting boring. And it could be mentally tiring due to the lack of sleep.

But wat ppl say abt uni life is nothing positive. So i dun noe whether i wish time to go faster or slower. At present, i am bound to miss major events ( Chinese New Year, Christmas, Class Outing etc ) Planning to go out is already a chore simply cuz i work shift and there isnt a fix date im free. But fast forward one year, i dun noe if i would really enjoy the days ahead. Ppl complained abt stress in uni and tat its even tougher than JC .. I do not noe.. But one thing i hope at least is tat when the time comes, everything could go as planned- THe place i wanna work until uni starts and of course uni life in itself be a memmorable one. Hopefully all goes well..

Although these few months was tough, it taught me something important. It was to cherish. To cherish not just the time we have, but the ppl around us. Unfortunately, i didnt really do the two to the fullest. It is amazing tat i could do so many things in 2 days now. And taking time to bond with ppl around was simply amazing. To this, I regretted the amount of inaction i had cuz i didnt utilise wat i had and live life to the fullest .. But I will change and be more forthcoming.

If anyone chances upon this, i would oso like to say that this is NOT an emo post. I AM in a perfect state of mind. Just letting my thoughts run through- im sure everyone has their own thoughts too!!

After a gruelling 9 weeks BMT , i finally passed out !!! I would say that it is the worst time of the year now - the heat is intense and there is little rainfall. And training in long 4 in this kind of weather was really tirin.

Anyway, i made my final decision to go to SMU. It was a tough decision cuz NUS biz sounds like another good choice . But wat really made SMU so attractive was that Its at the city ... meaning lots of shopping and relaxation opportunities !! its near bugis, its near orchard, its near city hall... which means technically near to everything. and den a large factor falls on the fact tat all students there are offered a 2nd major, and i hope to take finance as 2nd major while my accountancy will be the main degree. And of course heard that ppl have very good impressions of SMU students - Some even said they could easily differentiate SMU students in the workplace .. And other minor stuff is tat all students who wish to go for overseas xchange are given a chance( and i really hope to go somewhere.. for experience!!)

So yup... im really looking forward to embark on this new phrase of life. think it presents me with some sort of challenge.

Sad and Happy? well, this is the kind of feeling i am having now .. well, talk abt the sad part is tat im enlisting tmr !! and it will be a two months stint at tekong ... Happy, cuz im glad i worked at IRAS (with all the crappy ppl like ... ) and did not waste the time i had doing nth.. Happy also because i had been admitted to SMU accountancy !! it was a very mixed feeling .. anyway, hopefully, all goes well at tekong...

was transferred to the Jobs Credit department at Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and i have to revisit MATHS!!! alright , cuz some of the calculations require some sort of algebra ... and obviously at times , my algebra was so poorly done that money can be counted as negative $x .. but after much practice, i finally get use to it and get the correct ans..LOL!!

anyway, just after work, was glad to receive a call from SMU abt an interview scheduled next week... it came as a surprise cuz i only submit the application just yesterday night... anyway .. hopefully all goes well ...

celebrated Enrique and Julian's birthday and it was really crappy... First it was the cutting of cake... den... ...

Enrique decided to feed one of our supervisor wif a strawberry ... lol

and next went to Gamehaven to play .. booked a room which consist of two computers, an Xbox fitted with the guitar hero... so some played on the com while the rest played guitar hero... booking of the room was DAMN cheap ,,, very surprised... 16 dollars for two hours !! divided by abt 10 persons who went ... its abt one dollar plus per person

Almost 2 months have gone after applying for this job... hahaha... i realise i like it more and more!!! And found out many nanyang ppl oso works there (ok although the first sentence we always said is " i never seen u before " haha) ... starting at a new department next week ... abit boring cuz must learn new things , and the notes are like damn thick ( althought not comparable to others like Janelle/hazel there, they are like the backbone of the Division, everything also must noe haha)... thicker than all the chem organic notes i think ... but its ok ... the environment here good can liao ... hoping April will come slowly ... really..

A long time since the last post, so here to update a bit. Nothing much going on now, just the mundane working life, squeezing in the MRT during the morning and evening rushhour, working in the call centre at IRAS dealing with Budget 2009 announced in Jan, and eating around the Novena area. Got to noe many new ppl at my department ..and lastly, the foods at Novena are nice!

Theres the chicken rice that everybody said it was good (though abit expensive at 4 dollars per plate) Theres this store that sells coffee milkshake, damn nice oso.. The canteen food within the office building is oso reasonably good.. Theres oso this western restaurant that is really budget: 7 dollars for a set meal which include main course, soup, dessert, coffee or tea. But still got many eateries haven try yet, but its alright ( I have 2 more months to slowly eat..haha) ..

Today, it was a day at Disneyland. Below is the photo for a famous attraction known as "Its a small world" Here, u take a boat ride and enter a place filled with cartoon characters from Peter Pan to many others. And, they have many phrases in different language preaching for peace in the world. Basically, they try to immerse you in a wonderland where everything is so wholesome

The hill at the back is a roller coaster ride that zip through the hill itself.

Below is the main street of Disneyland and it is called Main Street USA

And one of the highlights at Disneyland is the parade. Entitled " A Christmas Fantasy Parade" Last almost half an hour...

The attraction "its a small world" at night... They have a light display at night where the lights would 'dance' to the tune of chritmas music.

Another highlight is disneyland's fireworks. Entitled "believe... in holiday magic" This fireworks is highly sinchronised with the music and it was awesome!!! It also has the Cinderella Castle as its backdrop!!!

Day 3: A whole day at Disney Resort. This resort includes Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park. This post will be abt the California Adventure Park one. The next post Disneyland. well, for one, this theme park got a area known as the Aviator's zone where the rides include a flight simulation (really good! ) here, u r strapped to a chair and they lift u up and make u feel as though u r traversing across the many exotic places in the world. Thumbs up for this ride!!!

As for this tower above, its a ride i dont dare to take, but for many it may be just the kind of thrill that u wish for.. in there, u board a lift that ascends up to the top. and up there, they open the lift door to let u marvel at the scenery.. And ... just when u arent noticing, it plunges down.... ok ,,, below is another picture... taken while on a ride ... i forgot le..

Went to play Toy Story. Its really interactive. We took a cart (the one below ) and wear a 3d glasses. then we r suppose to use the gun to shoot down objects while on the ride. Scores are tabulated and the high score is shown when the game ends... really interesting ... Theres one at Disneyland oso... the ride almost the same except that u can rotate the cart 360 degrees to shoot at targets ... really interesting!!

Went to watch a live show of Aladdin. Really nice too ... and i like it ... Its the exact stage performance of the show Aladdin. At night, watch the nightly Disney's Parade ( i said disneyland was better than universal studios cuz disney has parades and fireworks which are really good. Based on rides, however, universal studios is still better ) Below are pics of the parade at Disney's California Adventure Park.. Disneyland got their own separate parades.

Took a tiring 16 hours flight to Los Angeles where we first visited the Pacific Coast. Overlooking the large patch of sand is of course the Pacific Ocean.

Then visited the Staples Center- the home of the LA Lakers basketball team. And tat ends the first day.

Went to Hollywood Boulevard the next day and they have these walk of fame where Hollywood stars can plant their name there. Heres Michael Jackson

Next, went to Universal Studios Hollywood. Went to take the Studio Tour. Here, we took a tram which brought us to many movie studios. The tram oso went on to a collapsing bridge ( when we were on top, it will simulate a collapsed bridge, so u can feel the tram sink downwards suddenly.) Then the tram took us to see some fire display like this below

Oso visited a simulation of flash flood where u see gush of water splash towards the tram. Next, theres a display of Fast And Furious where they simulate how they film movies of gun shots on to the ground and an explosion on a car... the pic below was taken after the show, so nothing spectacular in the photo... but it was good if u have seen it...

We os visited a simulated Earthquake MRT station where u can feel the entire tram rock and roll while flash flood splah towards u ... It was highly releastic ....but no photograh cuz too dark to take photo ... Soon after , went back to the theme park and took some photos

Watch a live show of Waterworld. I must praise this show cuz the performers are really well-train. They fall into the water from like 3 story high very naturally ,, and i mean naturally!!! And they simulate a plane crash into the theatre, the plane just flew in and land right in front of us... u couldnt see any cables attached ... till now , i wonder how they did it ... perhaps i think they calculate the projectile motion or something like tat ... below are pics of the waterworld live show...

Other rides that i took include The Simpsons, Terminator 3D , Backdraft etc . Some like Jurassic park took before le so nvr went to take again. But all in all, Universal studios TRASHES Escape flat. ( i think disneyland is better than universal studios though AND Japan's disneyland is better than Disneyland in hollywood ) and if u want to noe wats the ride abt, wikipedia is the ans ...haha... for now cya ...

Arrived back from California in the afternoon yesterday. Quite fun cuz there were really good bargains for clothings ( 1 Levi's jeans cost 30 SGD ). Will be uploading photos in the next few posts..

A dampler to the trip was the snow storm that hit us when travelling to Las Vegas from Los Angeles. we were travelling on Interstate 15, going through a region known as Cajon Pass, when snow storm occured, causing the closure of many freeways in Southern California. We were kind of stranded in the middle of the highway for a few hours.

At first, there was Macdonalds' there so we could stay out of the chill. But unfortunately, it closes at noon due to the road closures. And we had to sit in the bus and wait for the road to reopen. And how unlucky we were, the snow just kept falling. i had never detested snow more than tat day .. Although it was good for photo taking, i must say we miss out on others cuz we wasted time here. In the end, after 6 hours of waiting, we had to head back to Los Angeles as the snow storm wouldnt subside. And it was hard time for our coach to travel cuz at times the wheel seemed to be stuck to the snow and a lot of engine power is needed to overcome it.

So at the hotel, we had to watch the news and very fortunately, the snow storm subsided the next day and the roads were reopened 24 hours after it closed. But still we wasted one day. The storm was one of its kind in almost 3 decades. well, its weather and nobody could control anyway...

Going off to Los Angeles and San Francisco in abt 9 hrs time ... feeling quite tired but excited !! Disneyland, Universal studios, Grand Canyon, Hollywood Boulevard and some smaller attractions. But the downside is: 17 hours of flight , excluding 1 hr transit at Japan Narita Airport.. Can die sia .. luckily i checked got Berverly Hills Chewawa and The Mummy-Tomb of the dragon emperor on the plane .. luckily ... okays ... gg off to sleep ...

alright, we are near the end of the A levels ...strive abit more and all shall be over... JUst checked EA.com.sg and they said nfs undercover is releasing in singapore on 17 nov !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i couldnt wait man !!! they said it is like most wanted - a game which i thought was really worth praising ... The cop chases in most wanted was really intense, and they said the police mechanism was upgraded further in undercover ... omg .. tat sounds soooo fun !!!!! seems like i am abandoning flight simulator for undercover for at least a week after As .... Tats not all , haha, nfs undercover features cars tat never/ rarely features in any of its series ( Mclaren, Nissan etc. ) And of course, Lamborghini and Porsche are featured too ( unfortunately, dun think theres Ferrari) . Luckily my com can take the high specs it needs - 3.0Ghz, 1Gb RAM, nvidia 6500 above graphics card .... its definitely goona be a heavy burden on my com...

i cant wait!!!

Its 5:45 AM now : I had been awake for almost 2 hrs, scrolling through websites after websites while waiting for morning to come. I hate this. I think my room is filled with germs, bacteria, viruses or watever u call it. Felt like sneezing the whole night through. I couldnt blame it anyway: there are stacks of papers almost everywhere, on the floor, on the table, on the shelf ... ... It is the result of many months of accumulation of lecture notes and books. I swear i am going to throw EVERYTHING away on 18 Nov. Anyway, I gave up sleeping. Decided to watch some videos but apparently after finishing Russell Peters, there arent much to watch already. Perhaps if anyone got something worth watching, can tell me ?? haha , so i will feel less bored during the night. Anyway, chanced upon this video of an airplane tat got struck by a lightning.

After watching this, i felt so much confident in the safety of aircrafts. Not tat i think it wasnt safe, but perviously i always wonder wat happens if lightning struck an airplane. Well, think i got the answer ...

Watched the trailer and i think its gonna be a nice game. This game shall be the no.1 on my budget list ... haha.. cant wait for it to come out ...

Well, anyone heard of St Maarten's Juliana International airport ? Aeroplanes fly at super low levels here. This is because separating the beginning of the runway and the beach ( as u would see in the videos below) is just a mere two-way street with one line in each direction, and the airport parameter fence. Also, the runway is short - at 2100m , which is less than the 2.4 km we run for our napfa test , and thus for giant planes like boeing 747s to land, they cant afford to be airborne over the runway for too long. Or else, they would overshoot the runway.

In fact, the minimum landing requirement for such planes is similar to the length of the runway itself. So , u could imagine that kind of precision the pilot needs to ensure a safe landing. This also means that they have to touch down as soon as they reach the runway, so that they reduce the time they spent airborne over the runway. So , tats why aeroplanes have to fly low on final. I wont be surprised if u ever put one double decker bus on the road, it will hit the lower part of the landing gear. But then again, its St Maarten- a small island that is part of the Netherlands Antilles. So u wont find such buses there. The first video shows a plane landing low on final. Next Sunday, the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix comes to town, right in the heart of downtown Marina Bay. Well, i guess with Massa just one point trailing behind, this Grand Prix is bound to be exciting, and im gonna watch it if theres live telecast. Well, while walking back from Suntec City, took a photo of the lighting tat will brighten up the streets to an equivalent day-light condition. Behind is the grandstand where spectators will be cheering for their teams .

its abit blur, partially cuz i moved my hands while taking, and partially cuz its a 2 megapixel camera. This turn is supposedly the turn where drivers will slow down from an excess of 300kmph to perhaps an excess of 100 kmph. It is also a prime over-taking spot. Hopefully, all goes well for Mclaren.

Today's newspaper was by far the most interesting i have read since i started reading many years back. Lehman brothers filed for bankruptcy, Merrill lynch was bought over at below market price and AIG requested for $40 billion foreign reserve loan. Then, there is 16 Sept deadline for the Anwar takeover.. Nearly spent 1 hr reading the newspaper. Well, of course, the concern would be AIG for many insurance policies etc etc were bought from there. It was also really surprising that major companies like Merrill Lynch can fall prey to this crisis. Throughout so many years, i always thought it was a robust company with deep reserves. Well, all can happen rite? just like how Lehman closed down abruptly.

Alright, two more papers to go. Gradually, i have no idea why.. i start to hate chemistry. Perhaps it is all the memmorising that makes it such a bad subject to me. This, as oppose to physics and mathematics, which requires not just pure memmorising, but critical thinking. I rather be a problem solver than be a regurgitator of memmorised notes. Anyway, screw it. I only have 2 months left with chemistry and tats all im gg to have. I will 'divorce' with chemistry for the rest of my life!! As for physics, i think its getting more and more interesting.

Just read many physics articles these few days.. And increasingly, the world we live in seriously is very weird. So in essence, they wrote tat gravity is not a force. Any inertial object will fall towards and accelerate towards each other due to spacetime curvature. So, this means that, without adding force, things accerlerate. And, due to spacetime curvature, from a point to a point in space, a straight line may not be the shortest course to travel. Well,the strangest thing of all, they say is this: suppose u pass one photon through the young's double slit. Proven by experiments, Interference occur. Fringes observed.. So u have photon, it interfere with itself??? Strange. To further add on, when a detector is placed at one of the slit to determine which slit the photon went through, no interference occur. This points to a fact tat if we noe which slit the photon travelled through, they will be no interference. So basically, in order to obtain interference, we must not noe the path of the photon.

The answer they give was simple.Without a detector, the SAI function wave superimpose each other, thus there will be bright fringes where probability of a photon hitting there is high. But with detector, probability of the electron passsing the slit is one. thus, SAI function becomes a straight line. So no superposition as photons travel towards the screen.

So moral of the story: if want to see interference, dun bother to noe where photons went through. cuz u just cant do both things together.

ARGH!! today marks the 2nd or third month i have not been to MSN ... feeling damn fed up wif my com.. Notice a cycle in which 5 months after i reformat my com , the same old problems come up ( eg. " memmory ... reference .... Oxc0000015 " error always come up ). This problem exist in my current hard drive. The other hard drive ... haiz ... couldnt access the net ... ( eg. TCP/IP error or something like tat la). theorectically, both my hard drives have different problems, and they are the same old problem tat existed for many years, but disappear after reformating.

My current hard drive is service pack 1. den went to download service pack 2 so tat can install msn ... but cant ...And the weirdest thing of all: When i switched from my old hard drive to this current one, the @ button seem to swop with the " button. So if u would have guessed it, i just typed the " button to display the @ sign and vice versa.

Guess my com is old (or antique?) . six years liao.. Its a Dell computer ... and i think to me, it has lived beyond its expected life span ... but i shall try to maximise its survivality by maybe one year ? Has been studying the trend of new computers now, and i shall say perhaps my next com by then should be enough to accomodate games like flight sim !! i have been tempted by recent 500 GB computers - TATS HALF A TERABYTE!!! And then 3 GB ram , plus Geforce 9 series graphics card ... ok , tats pretty enough for me ... perhaps adding quad-core would be good :)

Wouldnt be surprising by the time one year pass, it will be eight-core 8MB L8 cache , with 8 GB ram and 800GB?? All right , its just one year away... so lets see how much computer tech shall improve..

Congrats to Singapore Table Tennis team !!! i think they did pretty well to earn them a second place in olympics. Although Lee Jiawei did not fair well during the clash between S. Korea and Singapore, i think she was able to put off a great fight against World no. 1 Zhang Yining. I would not have expected her to win anyway , so i think the results she achieved was ok. Hopefully, she can soar even further by achieving a bronze for singles... Im gonna watch the match if she makes it to tat stage!!!

The olympics is once again full of miracles. By chance, i happened to on the TV and i saw how Usain Bolt smash the world record. YES, i think he SMASHED it .. With time to slow down and den finishing with a world record is definitely unheard of in a 100m race. Tat is also after the fact that his reaction time was the 2nd slowest among the racers. Guess his timing could have been improved by a further 0.2 s if he ran to the fullest.

And was it the opposite of miracle to have cause the ungraceful exit of Liuxiang? I remembered how he was featured in VISA advertisements. To the disapointment of many, he withdrew today due to unknown reasons. He could have been the star who is poised to win a medal in the 110m hurdles, but it seems like 4 years of effort and waiting have come to naught. And now, its another 4 years to go to see him shine at London ...

went to the Ritz Calton Hotel for a wedding dinner yesterday. The hotel is really posh, of course, cuz this is a 6 star hotel.. Took a few pics of the hotel and the food ... The food is generally nice and its western style , unlike the usual 7 course chinese dinner one would expect. So there is soup of the day, plus main course plus dessert ...

I was reminded once again... How was it? Is everything patched up? Ans: Its all screwed up. Multitude of problems start to build up. I wonder ... How am i ever gg to consolidate enough energy to study ??

It was nice taking solitary walks. Especially on a rainy night when one could hear the faint trickle of rain drops and feel the gentle breeze that accompanied it. I really like the peacefulness there. In this buzzing city, when can we ever have it? It is a scarce opportunity. But nonetheless, it still takes place. So cherish it.

I love Changi Village. I love Changi Beach. I love East Coast Park. I love anywhere that can see planes landing and taking off. Alright, i noe dis is very random. But, seeing planes takes off and land reminds me of doing the impossible and soaring beyond the skies. Plane-watching is not only the hobby tat arises bcuz i love planes. It reminds me, of the pursuit of what i truely wants. Humans never thought they could fly, but they did. In fact, they flew much better, much faster, much higher and much more reliable than birds do. And, in each plane, there is someone who have realised their dream. In fact 2.. and some 3. i guess u noe wat i am talking about. Pilots, of course. The long way to becoming a pilot is a hard one, but it is rewarding. And, they have done it. I do not want to miss any more opportunities. Afterall, like planes, we have to land somewhere. And how high we soar could only be determined by how hard u work. 2 more papers now. I do not want to fall halfway. At the end of A levels, i wish i could come to a soft landing.

Continuing from the previous post, reached Siem Reap at 730a.m local time (they are 1 hr behind us). The plane landed and reached the end of the runway, U-turned and taxiied on the runway to a perpendicular taxiway in the middle of the runway( they do not have a parrallel taxiway) . This is a manoevre known as Backtaxi. And since Siem Reap dun have aerobridge, got a chance to walk on the tarmac. Here is it- the Jetstar Asia that i took ...

And another plane... these are the only 3 planes i saw there .. a small airport indeed...

And the airport building.. think its quite nice .. A bit of uniqueness there...

Upon reaching the city, checked into the guest house (not a hotel). the difference is its much much cheaper at USD12 per day for one room .. Went for a walk around Siem Reap ... Visited the central market which sells many local clothings etcetc. And as we walked, we finally see something that we see often in Singapore - shopping centre. yup, they only have one in this city. And in there, they got Swensens ( only sells ice-cream ) and The Pizza Company which i ate on Day 2 of my trip.

When its time for us to go back to guest house (as we have a tour later) , a "tok tok " driver came and drove us back.

Took a tour package which will bring us to the Tonle Sap River. It may sound familiar to many of u , cuz it was the river where the dragon boaters drowned ... And it is a very very big river... many times of Singapore. Around this river, there are many slums and squatter settlements and the person who followed us on this tour (hes not a tour guide) says many who lives here are Vietnamese ... Although we associate such settlements to be a poor estate, it is surprising they own television and i heard them singing karaoke!!! Below are the pictures of Tonle Sap river ... and we took a boat to cruise this river..

And they have three levels and the picture below is where i am , at the top level.

Supposed to see sunset here ( many says its beautiful ) but unfortunately the sky was overcast and there wasnt any sun in the first place ... So after tat took a van to the city area where i ate at a restarant (with local performance ) .. and tats the end of first day .... the next 2 days i went to Angkor Wat .. ( guess many of u have heard before ) . It will be on the next post.

Aviation

Went to Cambodia for the past 5 days and watever tat i went, the stories, will be on the next few posts. Anyway, the first one concerns AVIATION!!! yup.. before gg to Cambodia, taking a plane is neccessary. So, got a chance to further explore the newly opened Terminal 3. First, i was very surprised at the size of terminal 3. i NEVER expected it to be so damn big. Take a closer look at the picture below. ( In terminal 3 itself, there is skytrain to ferry passengers to the gates ) For the other 2 terminals, there isnt ... (only inter-terminal skytrains). And on the map below, u can see tat due to terminal 3, there are many more skytains route throughout the airport.

And below is the skytrain tat operates within terminal 3. (which means its just built)

Skytrains aside, well, there is this FIFA concept store in terminal 3. Saw through their glass panel and they sell simlar things to Addidas and Nike. Couldnt go in cuz my plane was at the early hours and it haven open.

I think picture speaks louder than words. The two pictures below shows how big Terminal 3 is. The first one at the top shows an A380 holding gates. It has two level, so it enables easy access to airplane. I was walking towards Terminal 2 when i took this. so right at the very end of the pic, it is T2

This second one shows the skytrain station i said at the beginning... its on the left of the picture. and as u can see, for passengers whose gate is A18 and above, they have to walk damn far in order to reach .. so theres skytrain...

And at the end of terminal 3, theres this open air balcony for people to smoke. Luckily, the whole terminal 3 is rather empty , same as this smoking area. so went there ( not to smoke haha ) but to see planes! A boeing 777 Singapore Airlines.

So when the time was up, board my plane ( Jetstar Asia ) and it was delayed for a while cuz the center runway was under maintenace and so only runway 02L-20R was in use . so .. Plane Traffic Jam ... The plane cruised at about 400 knots = 720 km/hr and at an altitude of 35000 feet = 13000m. Reached Siem Reap within 2 hours ...

Perhaps some of u may wonder why i changed blogskin again within such a short period of time.. Reason is simple. Couldnt sleep yesterday night. So decided to browse through Blogskins.com ... and tada!!! , i suddenly realised how good this website is .. almost all kinds of blogskins oso got .. So i settled on this ... something tat suits me most .. I found another nicer one .. but i think the picture looks like some commercial stuffs .. so its eliminated ..

Surprisingly, although i did not sleep throughout the night, i felt as energetic as before in the afternoon. Weird. Even now, at this hour, i have a feeling im not gg to fall asleep any sooner. Seems like i had taken chicken essence or something ... really dun understand why..

Prelude to trip

The beginning of the holidays does not mark the start of a true holiday. In fact, the end of holiday seems more like the start of holiday to me. And strange enough, when i start not to slack too much, my computer also got the hint and somehow or another it keeps jamming... :( i have no idea wats happening . it happens quite some times before and the immediate solution for me was to reformat. (btw i have antivirus software tats up-to-date, so guess it isnt the cause of virus) but given tat i will be kept busy wif many stuffs this hols, guess i will just let my com suffer there. Coupled wif the computer problem is the bloody hot weather these few days. Almost sweating in my room everyday without fail. Lets just hope this "heat wave" can dissipate quickly into anywhere except here.

And last of all, looking forward to going Cambodia this hols. And definitely going to take a sneak peak at the New Terminal 3 in operation. perhaps i may spend tat 2 hours at the viewing gallery while waiting to board the plane. But its night time man, guess it will be hard or even cant see any planes landing or taking off. And anyway, the trip there shall be a great relaxation from a relentless range of things tat happened and is still happening. well, tat includes catching up wif my work. The time has come when i should just focus on my studies and nothing else. though playing is still allowed ...haha.. to a certain extent

The weather is frustrating me recently .. Just read the newspaper and it says tat yesterday 3pm was the second hottest point of time this month .. recorded temp. was 34 degree celsius... den i suddenly remembered, we were playing basketball at around tat time.. its amazing how we managed to pull through tat heated atmosphere.

Even back at home, i can feel the heat trapped in my room. Its HOT almost everywhere .. well, the lucky(and unlucky) thing is, the weather forecast says its gonna last till next week.. so just got to bear wif it.... ... a little longer ..

Happy 18th Birthday to me !!! haha.. Anyway, special thanks to Jun Hong, Hazel, Wei Han, Weiliang, Chuen Hwee, Gabriel, Guo Hao, Soh Ee for the wallet.. and of course, thanks also to others who most probably wont be reading this blog for other presents or hong bao. The class also for the cake smashing,especially by Cindy. And I just noe i de-celebrate my father's day.... haha.. Cant believe i breathed 18 years of oxygen, 18 years of experience. There are many things left unaccomplish till now .. and i will set out to fulfill it .. though i must say certain things need courage.

And maybe 1 thing i gonna take is to drive a car? (p.s this has no link with the courage stated above). Wanted to go work after A level, but seems like i cant considering i left only a few weeks given all the overseas trip and probably chalets?

went to Serangoon Gardens to eat at this cafe .. omg !!! i ate the fish .. and it feels like chicken !! and lets see.. i remembered they served FIVE fries .. cucumber and tomato .. and the cost $$$$9.00 !!! This is in comparison to AMK S11 .. where every bite is worth the money. Luckily, today i was very full. so the amount is still can .. Otherwise, i could have ordered 2 plates to get filled... lol.

today was a rather joyous day.. for my whole of sec school , i NEVER got a silver ... and this is perhaps my first after so many years.. so now, i have 2 months to slack before army ... gonna enjoy the 2 months!!

A long time since i last blogged as compared to the frequency i had last time. Guess the trend will remain as such ! argh .. had cca yesterday until 7.00 pm. as we were discussing about the future exco tat will be announced next week. And gladly, after one year, it will be the last session for us, the J2s. Went home yesterday and did the finalised list of cca members (have 19 J1s in total). cant believe i used an hour just to do it!!!! allright, den watched abit of TV , den went to sleep.

And today, to my dismay, Mr william yeo wanted to see all SIG presidents and captains. and so theres a little additonal homework .. got to submit a form containing lots of questions by dis friday. On top of tat, got to start studying for chem .. I DUN WANT TO GO "NO END" !!!! LOL . but one part of me tells me it may happen.. cuz up till now, i dun noe a shit wats going on in chem this year.. Luckily sun did study Alkenes and Arenes, at least a consolation for me :)

Meanwhile, gotta play abit of flight sim too .. Cant live without it .. especially with the addons i downloaded!!

perhaps i was hoping for something tat cannot be achieved... placing too much hopes in this world where its just simply ironic in almost any sense ... How strange , tat we humans are the ones who create the problems tat antagonise us .. and weird as it may be, we are also the ones tat create all the misery tat surrounds us ... wat for?? cuz we were taught to think about ourselves and nothing else.. or rather some may say its innate .. i dun noe... wat i noe, however, is tat i have been living under an idealistic mindset where everything falls into place naturally. How i wish there isnt A level? tat the weeks ahead would not be like the weeks before ?

Unfortunately, things cant be changed.. we are bounded by an invincible treaty to study, to do well , to ascend to greater heights. We cannot ignore this fact, that everyone has the hunger for success. They are not going to give in .. So, we are stuck in this world.. where studying is all that matters for a bright future. and wat are the expenses? We lose the freedom to do wat we want and pursue the activities tat we yearn for. Moral of the story? we just have to accept the reality of life ...

Seriously I have no idea why i am thinking about these things. Perhaps there are just too many wants that cannot be achieved in reality. Perhaps i have an obssession with other forms of happiness that doesnt come with studying. JC life is really like a whirlwind. Everything happens so quickly and in no time another phase, another chapter of my life is closed. I hope to go back to the past... but when i was the past, i hoped for the future. Ironic right? yes, everything is just ironic. i just got to accept the fact and move on. Perhaps the road ahead is a much smoother one...

And by the way, although the above may sound emotional, i am fine. Just venting my frustration at the apparent routine that i am bounded to and the enormous holes in my life that need to be filled up :)

Everything builds up as though it was a well thought-out plan. Will you become stronger or will you fall like a helpless eagle shot in the head? Pressing questions indeed and hopefully time will heal the pain and make one stronger.

Sorry for the emo-ness here. These are just thoughts racing through my mind. While it has some bearings in my life, it is not totally as bleak as it is depicted here. Im sure most people have somethings which they are not contented with. If this is not true, den why are there dairies, counsellors among many other things?

This post is abt my own philosophy .. so it will be rather dry and boring!!!!!!!!!! :

Anyway, i think tat in everything tat we do, we need to achieve an equilibrium. so for example, while the ultimate goal of a student is to study, play should not be neglected because it is a vital part of our life... someone who only focuses on study may not have enriched their life as much as those who noes how to balance both work and play well... and to further add on, play is not totally useless ... Play allows us to rejuvenate and get prepared for the next " battle " to achieve even better results etcetc. Play encompasses many aspects .. one of which is social skills ... by playing with other people , u learn the art of communication which is essential when we go into the work force. In this sense, getting straight As is unimportant if u cant communicate well with other people. If ur drive to excel has caused u to lose much social skills, i think it is time to reconsider one's piriorty. (which means focusing less on one while putting more effort on the other)

Another thing is about recognition. One do not have to fight for recognition for due recognition will be given if u have the ability. So , for example, if u want ppl to noe that u r talented, do watever u r talented in to the best of ur ability ... Recognition will be given. u do not have to use other means to fight for it. if in tat field u have none, try hard but never try to manipulate and give the impression tat u r talented ... Facts will show and time will dig out the truth ..

After saying so much, i must say tat everyone has deficits .. i personally have my own deficits..in certain aspects, i am not achieving an equlibrium.. i shld not be elaborating here except tat one of which is im too slack ... the rest u will have to deduce ..haha.. but it is impt to remain modest .. it is useful in time to come ...

today GP was probably one of the most interesting ...cuz the teacher quoted from a source that to make love : 1) stare at the person for 30 mins 2) talk abt intimate stuffs for like 1 hr ... Anyway ... today was a boring day... i found myself sleeping in econs lecture ... cuz really couldnt take it liao .. den .. its PE ... well.. i guess we have not been training for very long liao .. but a least quite heartening to noe tat ... besides 2.4 km run which i have to endure a bit to pass .. the other stations i am alright ... but at least today PE appears not to be as tough as yesterday's ... so still ok ... otherwise ... i will jus faint ..lol ...

sometimes i realise i need some wake-up call ... it always happen ... until the reality come slam in my face, i will never work hard... so yup .. the block test is one good example.... the good thing here is ... i hereby change from a slacker ... to a half mugger from now on ..lol... ok... actions speaks louder than words ... but i think this weekend i did fulfill wat i intended to do ... so it marks the first time this year tat i completed a maths tutorial by myself ..haha.. i tried to complete the rest .. but no time ... after all .. my intention was to change from all play ... to work hard play hard ... so dun expect myself to sacrifice all play time to tutorials .. nonetheless its a good feat to have completed the tutorial(s) this weekend .. feel damn shuang !!!

Today was a very very interesting day .. 1) it marks the end of block test ...!! 2) The outing was FUN !!! hahaha... so today .. i screwed my physics paper not cuz i didnt study ( i tried !!) but i have runny nose during exam which affected my thinking process... so well .. on one hand .. i hoped the paper end quickly so i can get some tissue paper to sneeze and get out of the hall... but on the other hand, i didnt have enough time to finish ... so well ... watever ... its over ... Anyway... the great turnoff for today is i think despite finishing block test.. i am most certain im down for reblock-test ... jus to dictate abit abt after sch event today .. stayed in com lab and scrutinise blogs from our class with some ppl ... then talk cock ... den went PS to eat MAcs ... after tat more ppl join (as they went home to change) , we went to Minds Cafe ... play lots of games which was very alien to us ... very fun indeed ... there are lots of other games which we haven tried ... so hopefully we can go there more often ( though not like every week la ) and play.. quite cheap though ... $$5 +++ for 4 hrs of playing time with complimentary free-flow of drinks ... so ... after tat went home and watch singapore vs lebanon ... i feel that singapore got more chances to score more goals .. unfortunately ,, they missed (sometimes is open goal ) anyway ... 2-0 is a good enough score which many have predicted ... so well ... great job singapore !!! hahaha .. so now ... after the soccer match .. here online to blog .. and oso to settle some cca stuffs ... Lifes getting hectic ... especially wif A Level coming nearer ... salvage the time now ... and after A Level .. i think its seriously all fun and games ... but for now ... think gonna be down to earth .. especially wif the screwed up results from a screwed up test... Stayed at home throughout the day (except to go out for dinner) and felt very bored. Partially cuz i felt very guilty playing while the block test is still ongoing ... so as a result, i sat and stared at my table filled wif paper laying all over the place ... den i decided to go wikipedia to search for some interesting stuffs ... and it ended up keeping me occupied for the whole afternoon ...( pls dont think dirty btw ... its real stuff) .. alright.. just watched these three clips tat i think most of u guys may have seen it before ... its on National Geographic Channel ... Anyway, it is about British Airways flight 009 which had flew over a cloud of volcanic ash at a height of 37000 feet (approximately 12 km ) above sea level in 1982 i think ...

One of the things tat fascinate me is the St Elmo's fire which the aircraft experienced... this St Elmo's fire happens in a place with strong electric potential difference (eg. thunderstorm or volcanic eruption) .. so as the plane flew pass the cloud of ashes, blue or violet light were seen on the window panel and other leading edges of the aircraft... This is caused by the ionisation of the air particles due to the electric surge ... causing the air particles to turn into plasma .. hence giving rise to the colour effect.. and read it tat since it occurs more readily on pointed objects, a cattle horn can have the St Elmo's effect.. so dun be surprised if theres colour above their horns ..lol ..

Back to the airplane, many say this incident is symbolic cuz it changes the way pilots are trained in future.. during tat time , no other aircrafts in history has been so badly damaged by volcanic ash .. the details are in the video attached .. but i think u guys gonna have a hard time buffering it ... three video total 0.5 hrs ..

i must say the pilots are really zai .. to have landed without any visual cues (as their windscreen is severely scratched by the particles) ... and they are really lucky cuz all their engines lost power during the flight ... and they manage to restart it in time before they make the decision to ditch the aircraft in the sea.. if they really ditch ... well , i never heard of any successful crash landing on water before... this video tells in detail wat happens throughout tat flight and the subsequent investigation.. really interesting..

block test is almost over !! but i think theres nothing for me to celebrate ... for i dun think i deserve the break considering i didnt really study at all ... but as a start .. gonna resume my flight simulator experience once more .. try flying to many far distant countries .. and explore more technical functionality of aircraft components etcetc. and most of all .. learning how to land accurately .!! downloaded numerous addons on the internet to make it more realistic ... but obviously theres this bug in the simulator tat will make the airplane bounce unexpectedly ...lol .. quite irritating...and the front landing gear will collapse after bouncing ... theres nth i can do .. cuz its a software problem here...

Disclaimer : for ppl who think tat flight sim is fun considering im enjoying it , its is only fun if u have an interest in aircrafts and related stuffs like dis ...

Next, i think i gonna play table tennis again after a two year break... really long to play tt ... wonder why its such an irony .. when in sec sch .. i get to play it almost everyday during training .. and i find it tiring and didnt really like attending practice sessions anyway.. now im longing for it ..lol ... not the practice session ... but just to play for fun ...

woke up early today (though still late haha) to go to CDANS club cuz amos got some coupons .. so weiliang, him and me went there ... a long journey from AMK station ... took almost 40 mins... so the moment we reached there ... played bowling... (their lanes are good ... cuz the ball doesnt strays off if not enough power is applied...well-oiled i guess) .. and then we went to play Laser Quest ( which is something like Counterstrike except that the people are real (tats us !!) and instead of using bullets , we use lasers to aim at specific points ).. so inside this maze , suppose to shoot anyone we see ... very fun though i couldnt figure out when exactly my opponents died ... but anyway .... heres the score...

Before we went Laser Quest, and after we played bowling ... forgot to say tat ... we went to play the air rifle ... i seriously suck at tat ... take a look below and i think it speaks alot abt my shooting skills ... 4 off the targets ... only one within the black region... the other card yield even worse results .. and so the photo wont be posted here haha...

After playing bowling, air rifle and laser quest , went to eat .. .. the food is average ... and we sat down while watching the shows ... like Batman posing with children , and children playing hullahooks ( i noe i spelt wrongly ... but i guess its understandable wat i am talking abt..) and etcetc. after eating finish .. went to play some mini games and we all won several things ... like toy bears !! lol ... the best was the fishing game ... while many children was struggling to hook the items... Amos devised a way to hook it ... and he managed to ...( he broke record!! ) After tat... went to play golf .. at first we used the vouchers tat entitled us with 18 balls each ... and we played ... after tat decided to share cost and buy 100 balls to shoot... it was fun playing golf ... a difficult sport ... judging from today ... could hardly hit 50 metres on the first bounce of the golf ball... and most went into the water lol.... below are some photos ...

another week gone !!! how fast ... seriously , i think for this year, weeks seems shorter than a day when i was in primary or sec school... still remembered in primary sch... days seemed so long ( and maybe draggy ) and a year seemed like an even longer time... now, find it quite surprising tat it is March and i dont seem to have progressed much ... be it academically or not... lol... i seriously need motivation to get me moving ... and studying itself DEFINITELY isnt a motivation ...lol ... over the weekend, tried to study but seriously cant... there just isnt enough discipline or momentum... and the work tat is piling up ... seriously ... i am so lagged behind tat i think it makes no difference for me to be in J1 now... but i cant... i would not allow myself to sink into tat state... (maybe i will go into depression if i do ..haha) .. i guess i have to start one day ... let tat day be tmr ba... haha... i noe i have been procrastinating ... but it will stop from tmr onwards ... ...

watched L: changed the world on sat .. which is yesterday ... and i shall say it is quite a nice movie ... i will give 8/10 for it .. the highest by far tat i have commented in this blog... (though its not the best movie i watched ... ) the plot is unique ... and there are one or two parts where it is humorous ... its quite action packed also... a nice movie indeed...

school was damn slack today... no GP !!! haha... but so wat ?? still have to do maths lol ... but managed to complete almost all of it except three questions ... den after tat got all the boring lessons.. feel like sleeping ... and then at reading period ... played HANGMAN !! haha... lost really badly ... i will always remember KALLANG !!! haha .. think the final score was 28 to 17 wrong guesses ...and we played 5 rounds only... den after tat is the cca bazaar ... well... managed to gather 34 ppl ... and after the ODAC ppl all left... the classic thing happen ..lol ... kayak was competing with pugilistic with the chin ups... and guess wat ... weiliang was fielded to challenge them ...haha.. so very soon ... cca bazaar ended .. so very glad it ended anyway... and then walked with amos to interchange ..take bus back home..

stayed back after sch today to watch the match between NYJC and IJC ... nothing interesting except the 2 goals tat was scored by NYJC and IJC ... so obviously the scoreline was clear ... 1-1 draw ..well, i think it shld rightfully be a 0-0 draw .. cuz the 2 goals scored were simply ... ... bad ... but anyway .. it doesnt makes a difference unless the league is so closely fought until goals scored is taken into account ... the first goal was NYJC's ... a stupid blunder by the goalkeeper of IJC ... the ball bounced several times towards the goal ... and then due to wrong positioning of the keeper... the ball bounced over his head and scored... LOL .. and wats worse .. the keeper could have ran towards the goal to save the ball after it bounced over his head ( he tried stretching his hand ) , but he stood there ... so it was a silly mistake ...reeally.. the second goal scored by IJC ... well .. a penalty was awarded and they scored ... but i think the penalty shld not have been awarded ... cuz afterall .. there was no serious injuries and the sliding tackle didnt really contact the leg of the opponent ... it contacted the ball i think ... so after tat went home and now gg out wif my family to eat dinner ..cya then ...

Singapore Airshow / Gym

Read the newspaper with much excitment .. cuz it is reporting on the first Singapore Airshow !! Besides the A380 ( the Airbus jumbojet ), there is the prototype of the F-35 ... a stealth fighter jet under construction... Singapore is an observer in this project ... well maybe we may buy these aircrafts in future ?? if it does happen, the capability of our air force will be strong .. considering not many countries have stealth fighter jets ...lol .... And heard many deals were struck ... like the Rolls Royce plant in singapore that will help to manufacture the engines of the boeing 787 planes... Also heard many planes such as those made by Cessna, Embraer and Boeing were bought by different buyers...

Another school day ... and another test... i will fail once again ... but let it be the last time in JC tat i fail any test again :) after sch .. went to gym ... my weekly routine now... hopefully one day it will bear fruits ... lol ... and of course... long john silver has become our (gymers') routine meal after gym cuz it was the nearest food outlet from it... ... for today .. after eating .. took a long ride home .. almost 1 hr ... i almost got bus-sick... by the time i reach house ... i damn giddy liao .. dun noe why ... but anyway... glad to be home ( really starting to hate school )

sometimes i realise that we should not put too much expectation for ourselves ... a suitable amount of it will do ... but not too much ... when expectations runs high, the stake becomes high too... and more often than not, we become overwhelmed with emotions when we fail.... we become sad, angry, frustrated and any negative emotions u could think of ... yet, this does not mean we have failed totally.... Think abt the past, and one may realise that he or she had succeeded in many endeavors. But human nature is such that when we have somethings, we ask for more. Our wants and expectation increases even as the things we achieve increases as well. So wheres the ending ??? well, i think theres no ending until maybe one day we age and become old, incapable of achieving much. but tats a long way down the road... so amidst the fight for better future, i think tat we shld sometimes lower our expectations and wants... in tat sense we get to enjoy times we are having.. which will make life even more meaningful...

well, i wrote this cuz i just read a book. something to do wif the increasing freedom of choice and if more choices= more happiness ... haha... the book said no ... i agree too... so yup ... and anyway ... Happy Valentines Day to whoever is reading this blog today ...haha...

ok .. shall talk abt yesterday which is wed ... well, reached sch early in the morning after spending the night at jun hong's house .. (details on jun hong's blog) den had CNY celebration in school ... and after that ... a TOTAL ANTICLIMAX ---- chem re-retest ... well... i think i 90% gonna sit for the re-re-re-test ... although the re-retest was just merely "fill in the blanks" questions .... but still haiz... u noe wat i mean ...

at night, my family had dinner (steamboat ) at our house .. before we set off to watch Ah Long PTE LTD ... well i will rate the movie 5.5/10 (sorry, jun hong for deferring so much from ur score.. haha... ) jus summorizing wat i feel abt the movie (the good and the bad) Good- there is some jokes which can make u laugh .. especially at the beginning where tat gang boss pointed the middle finger which is the injured finger... another part very funny is when at the end , mark lee stuff the gun in his pants and Fann fired shots from there... Bad- certain parts abit lame ... oso,, dun like it when they use animated pics to show fighting scenes ... and oso i think the plot is not very interesting as well ... so after tat .. went back home sleep ...

and as for today.. which is thurs ... woke up at 930 to start visiting house ... first went to my "big uncle's house" sorry, direct translation from chinese ... then after tat went "big auntie " house , then after tat went my grandma's house ... the list went on and on ... so i am very very tired now lol !! but anyway .. most of my visiting is done by today .. so nothing much left to do on fri anyway... hoping the cny pass by slowly .. cuz... after tat got to start studying for block test ... lol ..cya den !!

ok.. today early in the morning have GC workshop... i think its a waste of time... many of the things can just read the notes they give us den can le... but anyway... manage to pull through the 2 hrs workshop den after tat went wif weihan, amos, weiliang, jieyang, guohao to play pool at toa payoh... and cuz amos and weiliang didnt bring pants... they bought from the stallowner of the pool ... one shorts $$1 each... .LOL... the shorts is damn kiddy la... and its quite tight fit... the shorts got many funny and cute pics all over ... haha...

anyway, played for 2 hours ... den me, guohao and amos went to watch "one missed call"... well i will rate it 2.5/10 cuz 1) it added very abruptly ... ( me and guohao thought the lights and the film was spoiled LOL) 2) after it ended .. i got no clue wat the purpose of the movie is... as in wat is it trying to solve or uncover...cuz ultimately, the "missed call" still continues ... anyway... just watch the movie for fun ... haha...

ok.. today we made our way into Germany ... the state of Dresden ... well, went to see a palace .. and many buildings ... lol again i dun noe wat they are .... but i think they are architectually beautiful....

for history students in sec sch ... well u all noe abt the Berlin Wall ...and so i went on this day to visit it... well, it isnt tat tall... perhaps just 3.2 m like tat ... and the wall tat i visited is just a few parts tat werent torn down after the cold war ended....

and of course there are many nice graffiti too... as seen in the photo below...the small face which the dog is biting represent Karl Marx ... the inventor of communism .... soldiers climbing over the wall shows that the condition was so bad in USSR-controlled territory tat even they want to escape...

on sections of the wall tat was torn down after the cold war... there is a line (made of bricks ) on the floor tat marks where the berlin wall formerly was... the photo below will explain... since the wall stretched over many parts of Berlin , u can almost see these marks everywhere... (on the roads , pathways etc.)

and as most history students would noe... there is 3 checkpts in the berlin wall... one of which is Checkpoint Charlie...the photo below shows this checkpoint .. there is a photo of a soldier at the back... one side of it shows a USSR soldier, the other american soldier.. the tour guide says tat these pics were put up cuz there was once a confrontation here between the two nations...

after tat .. went to visit this memmoral ( i forgot who it was for) ... and then again for history students... visited the Reichstag.... the famous German Parliament tat was used by Hitler .. and still used till today..

Ok, basically today i was in Krakow, Poland and it was Christmas Day... All shops were closed but we went for sight seeing ... so more or less we didnt loss out haha... anyway ... today was a VERY long walk around its city ... we went to visit again many churches and historic buildings(too many to list down here ... and they werent tat recognised either ) In the evening, we have free time and we shopped(although all shops were closed) and went back hotel to eat instant noodles cuz today's dinner wasnt included in the itinary ...

Day 7

ok... heres where the most interesting part comes... especially for those who learned history in sec school... today .. we were suppose to set off to Prague, Czech ... but on the way we would visit firstly, a memorial ( if im not wrong ,,, its a memorial for the Jews who were killed during WW2 ..) and secondly .. the Auschwitz Concentration Camp ....

ok .. after visiting the memorial, we went to the concentration camp where Hitler used to imprison Jews and kill them using the gas chamber .... Its located near Krakow, Poland. In here, we walked around the concentration camp where thousands were killed solely because they are Jews ... In some of the buildings u see in the pic, they contain real cutlery, hairs, photos, brief cases, shoes of those who went to this concentration camp during WW2. The tour guide told us gruesome things like ... hairs of all female inmates were cut and kept and later made into fabrics ( to make clothes etc. )... visited their bunkers ... which is located in camp B ... they have 3 camps altogether ... A, B , C .. we oso visited a spot where Jews were shot died .. the tour guide told us tat they were made to strip and in pairs of 2s , they were shot dead in front of the wall ...(which is the spot) .. later we oso saw several shelters for the German to seek refuge when American Bombers attacked into the camp...(though this was not the American's real purpose, they want to attack a chemical plant nearby... and only took photos when flying over the camp !!) and lastly in camp B , we saw the place where dead bodies were burned ... really a horrible past...

so... after the tour in Nazi Concentration camp, we continue on our bus to Prague, Czech. By the time we reach there .. again its night time and we head straight to hotel...

ok ... so for today we toured the city centre of Prague... so we visited a place... yup .. i forgot wat it was .. but there are guards there ... and every hour they will change shift...

next after tat ... we went into a small ancient street where there are shops... so we shopped there for awhile ... took photos...(althought i dun have it here ...) yup then proceed to the Prague Square .... their city centre... so here once again ,, lunch not included .. so we went to eat KFC !!! haha... ok nothing special ... except its more expensive.... : (

After tat ... went to a castle of one king who ruled a big empire... forgot liao la...hahabut anyway .. feel tat theres nothing much to see there... then after tat head back to Prague Square for shopping...

Europe Trip Part 1

Happy New Year Everyone .. !!! well, just touch down in Singapore yesterday at around 2pm... Backtrack 12 days from now... assembled in Changi airport at around 5am for my flight to Vienna, Austria. Took Qatar Airways to Doha, capital of Qatar and transit 2 hrs at the airport before takin another flight to vienna...

Reached Vienna at around 7pm local time ( vienna is 7hrs behind us and btw the flights have no personal inflight entertainment ) It was really tiring cuz it was a 13 hrs flight there (excluding transit). When we reached there, took a bus and head straight to the hotel....

Day 2

well, went to a palace which looked really like the versailles palace in Paris where the Treaty of Versailles was signed.. then went on a city tour (meaning our coach drive around the city while the tour guide explain all the buildings ...) and saw many horse carriages on the streets!!! couldnt recall wat happen after tat ... but in the evening, we went to the Christmas Market where they sold all sorts of food, decorations etcetc.

Soon, we went to their shopping district.. kind of interesting there cuz u will see musicians playing on the streets.. some played on the recorder ...some played on the drums while others played the piano !!! Took a pic wif the person playin the piano behind ... she was playin Impromptu ( a diploma song )

I would say it wasnt easy playin in the winter ...( btw the temperature was hovering at around -7 degress celsius ) it was REALLY cold!!! .. went around the shops and bought chocolates... the brand is Mozartafel (btw Mozart was borned in Austria , hence the brand name ...) shopped for nearly 2 hrs and then we went for a mini music concert ... basically they played Mozart songs etcetc. After tat head back to hotel...

Day 3

took a coach to Budapest, Hungary ...went to a village called Szentendre to shop and eat .... then took a cruise on the famous Denube River to reach the city centre ... the city skyline here is really brilliant .... buildings are brightly lit and they even have visualisers shining on buildings so tat theres colour patterns on it .... the pics below will show..

Day 4

Ok... Basically today was a city tour around Budapest... alright .. i must say tat for today i forgot where i went cuz we basically walked and walked and visited many buildings which i didnt bother to noe wat it was ... (but day 6 onwards is much more interesting cuz we visting well-known landmarks ,, it will be on the next post ...) i could only racall gg to some churches and vistied a castle ..yup...

Day 5

ok .. today is another coach jouney to Krakow, Poland ... we were on the coach throughout the whole day wif a 3 hrs stop at Tatra Mountain ... Its between Slovakia and Poland.. this mountain is a ski resort .. so theres confirmed to have plenty of snow... btw it was snowin in Vienna in Day 2 as well cuz it was -7 degrees ... so obviously ... as most singaporeans would do , played wif the snow abit ... admire the beautiful landscape then went to eat our grilled fish meal on this mountain...

ok ... haven been blogging for a while liao...anyway.. haiz .. think dis holidays is really damn short .. so many things to do yet so little time ... For me , its theorectically 10 days left... cuz will be gg to Europe on the 20th Dec... Yay !!! lol ... lookin forward to it ... but before tat i have many things to accomplish ... like training for Napfa... buyin shirts, shoes , pants ... oh no ... i managed to buy Jeans, crumpler and some casual shorts only ... (btw its a VERY VERY long time since i bought my shirts and everything ... yup ... so dun think i so rich or wat ..haha..) Anyway.... i think gg to buy a converse shoes this week and maybe a hangten shirt from compass pt... and i think not buyin any more tentatively for this hols liao... lol ...

As for the Europe trip , well... i will be back on the 1st Jan ...SIAN !!!! next day got skool liao ... so i oso got to complete my hmwk before gg to the trip ( which i have not even started !!!) ... think i do those impt ones la... like Chem ... Maths...yup ...

Sitex 2007

well, went to Sitex 2007 yesterday at singapore expo... didnt buy anything though ... actually wanted to see the starhub cable TV ... but i think the bargin is not good enough for me to subscribe ...lol ... so wait lo... wait till theres one gd bargin...so continued walkin to help see my friend's com cuz he wishes to buy one... yeah .. and realise Dell only sells their better coms there ... (those above $1600) but of course .. the specs are better .. the com is zai-er for these prices .... after walkin around the halls ( hall 5 and 6 ) ... took an MRT to Changi airport ...where i saw this ... its a terminal 3 gate ... i think its undergoing testing ...

After walkin around the airport and takin numerous skytrians, took 27 and went home for dinner... but then ... my parents decided to eat out ... and at the same time go Sitex ...LOL ... so (recounting back ... i went to Sitex ... to Changi Airport ... then back home ... then go back to Sitex again ... ) ... so at 8.00 pm , i was back in Expo ... this time we couldnt find parkin lots... ( the carpark is closed cuz its full) .. in the end we mangaed to find one ... yeah ... must walk la... but this time , instead of lookin at coms... i was helpin my mum look for hp ... cuz shes gg to change one ... so went to Motorolla... Sony Ericsson ... Nokia... and i think my mum kind of like K850i and K810i ...lol ( my dream phones ..haha..) but anyway.. went to John little Sales oso... and bought some pants..haha... ..and after tat eat den go home ... phew.. cant believe i went one round and came back to Expo... lol

Anyway, i dun think i am gg to talk abt class chalet ...cuz theres detailed elaboration of it on kheng meng and Jun hong's blog and i didnt really take pic .. except for this one....

Malaysia Trip

well, as i have said in the previous post ..went to Malaysia from last thurs to mon... well, woke up at 5 on thurs so tat we can beat the jam at the causeway (yawns ....!!!) anyway, we took a 6 hrs car ride ( we drove there ourselves and it include eatin time) to the bottom of Fraser Hill ( near Genting). From there , it took another 45 mins to reach the top cuz we got to travel pass winding roads up the hill ... it was really a challenge to drive through these roads... and my sis was like sayin it feels like Datona ...LOL.. yeah .. she drives.. so maybe she thought so ..

there are seriously alot of blind spots..( as seen from the pic above... the road turns left... but we cant see cars travelling from there .. no mirrors or watsoever...) Anyway,, reached Fraser hill and realise theres nothing except a golf course, village, and many farms... visited the waterfall first... upon reaching there, we walk and walk and we only saw streams of water flowing in our direction tat we are walkin in .. so we were thinkin if the waterfall is at the back?? lol but we found it in the end as we walked on .... took photos there and didnt do much .. cuz i was in jeans and shoes???

after departin from waterfall, went to the village where the rather well-known clock tower is ... by then it was in the evening and the temp. dropped to 20 degrees... ate at a chinese restaurants .. tastes resonably and went back hotel ...

so coincidentally, theres a guitar concert at our hotel so we went to watch it ... haha... well i think they ( playin duets) played really well.... but i think guitar shld come wif an acompliment ... ( like singing or other musical instument) cuz otherwise very dry.... anyway,, these two performers really have local fans though ... and my sis found it quite nice and bought their CD and of course get it signed too LOL ... ( although we didnt noe who they are) ...

next day, went down Mt fraser and head for Bukit Tinggi ... not much there oso.. theres a botanical garden Jap style one ... and a castle wif shops inside there... this hill is abt 3500 ft ... quite high but not as cold as Fraser... anyway.. this hill resort is serene .. gd for relaxation..

Went downhill on the same day and head for The Mines... well, here got a big shopping mall, and it consists of stalls like Giordano and Hang ten ... ( same as Singapore except its cheaper haha) went there in the night and its quite unique .. theres a man-made river in the middle for boats ... these boats ferry ppl to the theme park... anyway, shop there for 3 hrs...? yeah quite long time ...

stayed in The Mines overnight and i shall say the hotel is good... there is a very nice view from the rooms .. and the facilities are great... most of all ..the breakfast got wide variety of foods... very long never encounter such hotels liao

well, wanted to swim in the pool there but i didnt bring swim wear .. lol .. since after shoppin got nothing to do .. watch ESPN.. and saw Tottenham vs West Ham match ... 1-1 ... gd penalty save by west ham keeper...haha

On the last day... took a boat ride to golden horse hotel...( across the lake shown in the pic above) .. its interiors are damn nice... after which travel through North South highway back towards S'pore... i shall say we were very lucky cuz when we travel towards KL and back ... we saw police escorts... and we followed closely behind .. so theres little traffic obstruction...lol

At last.. by night time we went pass causeway and its HOME SWEET HOME ...LOL ... ok .. actually stayin for one night before settin off to Arianda for class chalet... ( it will be the topic of the next post...) .. dis trip is very relaxing ...unlike most tat we went ... haha.. so now hoping time will pass quickly ( gg Europe this end dec ... ) haha byes..

well, today is most probably my last 2nd day in s'pore( going malaysia dis sat to mon night ...lol .. den next day got chalet????) i think by the end of the chalet ... i would be almost dead ... well, gg to Mt fraser wif my family and maybe genting if we have the time ... but i think now got one prob ..? lol i not enough shirts and pants to sustain the long time tat i wouldn't be home ...(theoretically sat to thurs ...with a one day stay at home on mon..) ... maybe solution is to reuse ... lol.. dun blame me if it stinks a little haha... no la... it wont .. anyway really look forward to the chalet ... 5 MORE DAYs !! lol time flies ... especially when u r enjoyin ........

So.. from today till den - maybe next mon or thurs.. there wouldnt be any post ... cya then ...

well, after commenting abt food yesterday,,,, i shall comment it once again cuz today went to eat the western food at AMK S11 wif yang... i think dis stall sells the best chicken chop tat i have eaten so far... they got a unique mushroom sauce for chicken chop... and yang was like sayin the steak was better than jacks' lol... anyway,, its a long time since i came here to eat ..(like 7 months at least??) and it still taste heavenly... haha... i think u all shld go try it if u have the time ....slightly ex $5.50 for a chicken chop but i think its worth the money in exchange for a gd taste.

anyway,, have many things to accomplish this hols... got to at least get silver for napfa next year otherwise damn sian ..haha.. oso got to read up things i wish to noe abt aircrafts... buy shirts, pants, shoes... theorectiallly a top to bottom expenditure..haha and many more.... too many tat i cant think of right now...

Jun Hong's house

went to jun hong's house today wif Guo Hao, Wei Min, Wei Han and Hong Hao ...well,, its been a long time since i visited old airport food centre( jun hong house jus next to it) and its an even longer time since i ate the fried carrot cake tat i used to eat last time...lol... not bad la...the taste... but i like Changi village more... the taste there is the best i tasted so far... cant blame me for being so particular... i simply love food !! haha... anyway... went jh house play Fifa , Halo , Tennis and NFS carbon .. well... as expected ,, i got owned by most of them haha...maybe for NFS carbon i played more resonably. .. but its nice la .. try new games... but think i played the worst in tennis ... totally pissed jh off cuz i paired wif him... in the end we won lol ... today,,, oso my third(or forth) time playin Halo... startin to like it ... although jh's bro is very zai ,,, and we got trashed ...haha ..anyway... we stayed at jh house until abt nine den went home eat dinner, blog(my new sudden cravin) , sign up for sealonline , get some piano scores( still finding), and den later slping ...

tat sums up today ... another enjoyable day ..haha ... hope it would be the same throughout the hols... its seriously the last hol we can truly enjoy before the A level next year.. so must enjoy now ... ok .. cya then

Went to Changi Airport terminal 3 yesterday ... and the admission fee was like $1.00 ...lol nothing much to see though ... opened to the public is a waiting area.... viewing gallery( i stayed there for like one hour cuz can see the planes landing ... ) and the arrival hall.. In there, they got a koi pond(without koi) and a butterfly garden ( without butterfly) lol!!!!! alot of things still under renovation... but i like the viewing gallery... can see a clear view of planes landing ... saw 3 boeing 777 singapore airlines planes landing ... 1 tiger airways ... one malaysian airlines.... haha... i noe u all (if any) will be bored to tears if i carry on the list of planes i saw ... 1 hr ...lol !!! terminal 3 quite unique in a sense that theres trees in the terminal lol ... yeah ... dun noe if they can sustain ... they appeared dry though ... anyway ... i like the lush greenery there ... feels like nature... haha.. after visiting it .. er ... wanted to find Mccafe... but couldnt ... dun noe wheres it ... only saw Dian Xiao Er and some others stalls tat i never heard before... and after tat went home and tat sums up my trip there ...haha
